Wings Appeal Pins Print

You can help our efforts in supporting the Battle of Britain Wings Appeal by requesting a `box of aircraft pins`.

The aircraft badges are each a miniature Spitfire, Hurricane or Lancaster. They can be worn on a lapel, tie, or anywhere you fancy and help to support and promote the Wings Appeal.

The pins are not `sold` as such, but in return for a pin, we ask that a donation be placed in the accompanying collection box. Simply placing a collection box of pins in pubs, clubs, hotels and offices, for example, is an effortless way in which you can contribute and you will find that they are extremely popular with staff and customers alike.

`The Spitfire` Public House in Kings Hill was the recipient of a Branch Appreciation Certificate for donations received from boxes of aircraft badges. The presentation took place in the presence of Robert Neame, Chairman of Shepherd Neame.

In addition to donations from aircraft pins, Wings Appeal also benefited from the `Bottle Tombola` at Town Malling Day on the Mayday Bank Holiday. Bottles of Spitfire Beer were donated by the Shepherd Neame brewery, and the event raised over £600 for Wings Appeal.

If you are in or around the Aylesford and Malling area, contact Sylvia Bonner, our Wings Appeal Organiser.
